130% Increase in Direct Bookings for Santorini Hotel
Cocoon Luxury Suites is a boutique cave hotel in beautiful Imerovigli in Santorini. Cocoon contacted us to help them increase their direct bookings in order to reduce the amount of commissions they pay to Online Travel Aggregators (OTAs) including booking.com and Expedia.
Together with the Cocoon team we:
- Researched their exiting target markets and explored potential new markets
- Set up targeted advertising campaigns in Google, Bing, Facebook and Instagram
- Implemented advanced analytics tracking of bookings to measure our actions
The results speak for themselves! A year on year increase of website visitors by 430%, an increase in direct bookings by over 130% and an overall reduction of commissions paid to OTAs by approximately 50% – with the same occupancy rates!
Cocoon were so happy with the results that they decided to invest in a redesign of their website and to increase their advertising budget for 2019 to further expand their reach into new markets that are interested in visiting Santorini.
